Joshua Steinfeldt is a coach, trainer, speaker, and consultant specializing in applied positive psychology, wellness, and coaching for transformational leadership. He has a B.A. in Psychology from the University of California Davis, and has his Master's Degree in Applied Positive Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania where he was a student of Dr. Martin Seligman, and Dr. Angela Duckworth, as well as other world-renowned researchers in positive psychology. For his Master’s thesis, Joshua pioneered qualitative research into the role of courage in coaching under the mentorship of Dr. Robert Biswas-Diener, a leading authority in both positive psychology and coaching.

Joshua has over 5,000 hours of professional coaching experience, has undergone over 250 hours of coach training, and holds numerous coaching certifications in specialty areas including: health and wellness coaching, executive and leadership coaching, and social and emotional intelligence coaching. He is also a Licensed Wellness Mapping 360 Trainer through Real Balance Global Wellness Services, and is a Professional Certified Coach through the International Coach Federation. Prior to joining the Real Balance Faculty in early 2014, Joshua worked as a coach mentor for American Specialty Health, where he had the opportunity to help train and mentor 100+ health coaches across the United States for close to 3 years. Now, as a member of the Real Balance training team Joshua enjoys being able to continue to leverage his expertise in the science of wellbeing, motivation, and behavior change, to help certify health professionals in wellness coaching all over the world.

In addition to his coaching work, Joshua also does regular speaking engagements and seminars on various topics related to wellbeing, coaching, and leadership. Some of his past speaking engagements and clients include the World Congress on Positive Psychology, the National Wellness Conference, and the American Heart Association, among others. Joshua has a small coaching practice, and enjoys working with leaders, motivated young professionals, entrepreneurs, and coaches looking to take their lives to the next level.
